When it comes to staying in Big Bear, you plenty of options to choose from. From private residences to nationally-recognized hotels, there is a room for any size budget.

Many of the lodging companies will require advance notice. If you just wing it and head to the mountains, you'll probably only find "NO VACANCY" signs flashing at you.

The sooner you can book ahead, the better. The Big Bear area is a popular destination during the holidays. Many rooms book up months in advance, especially those hosting larger parties.

If you plan on making a reservation, do it today. Many lodges will allow you to reserve space weeks in advance, giving you a little more peace of mind when planning an excursion to the mountains.
